Riding is done on endless trails through federal lands adjoining the ranch. Or stay on the ranch and watch cattle work and cutting demonstrations, or try your hand at team penning in the arena.
STAY WITH US
Our first ranch brochure advertised us as “a real Western ranch with modern accommodations for a limited number of guests.” By 1931, the dining room, swimming pool and La Casa de Rosita were built, and today our inviting quarters can hold up to 25 guests. Comfortable and charming, each guest room has a private modern bath, hand-painted Monterey furniture and a collection of western artwork.
EXPERIENCE HISTORY WITH US
Experience the Old West at Kay El Bar Guest Ranch, one of the first dude ranches in the state of Arizona; the ranch welcomed its first guests in 1926. Kay El Bar is listed on the National and Arizona Registers of Historic Places. Today's guests can experience the same western ambiance as the early visitors, sleeping in adobe-walled buildings, walking among mature stately trees, and riding the same trails as those first guests from almost 100 years ago.
